Unlocking the Benefits of JD Edwards Orchestrator for Your Organization

To know the endless ways your organization can benefit from JD Edwards Orchestrator, it is key to first understand what the tool is. According to Oracle itself, it is a system that can transform JD Edwards “from a transaction-based system of records into a system that provides a dynamic reflection of your real-time business operations”.
What does it do more specifically?
That said, it is also important to point out that the traditional ERP system is now at a digital platform ERP stage, where the internet of things, mobile apps, collaboration tools and cloud solutions are coupled with JD Edwards. However, the prediction for the future is that this will transform into an intelligent ERP system that includes machine learning, automated decision making or adaptive intelligence as its basic functions. Although this evolution is slow, it is now getting to the supervised ERP stage, where there are already some robotic automation processes integrated into JD Edwards.
Regarding Orchestrator specifically, this enables businesses to apply these new technologies, like mobile solutions, process automation, integration with cloud systems, etc., to automate and connect things no matter what these things are (physical or virtual, devices or systems, …). It is first and foremost an inbound and outbound REST API integration platform to all kinds of services and functions as a notification engine too. So, it allows human users, devices, and JD Edwards to cooperate in digitally transformed operations to make them more efficient and accurate.
Orchestrator can do a lot of these things; however, it might not be the tool for everything. It supports various integrations with cloud services, third-party applications, custom programs, and more. But when it comes to, for example, integrating millions of records from JD Edwards to an external system just once, this can better be done by using currently existing JD Edwards integration options. Orchestrator is the right tool when you’re doing low volume, high frequency changes or data requests into/out of JD Edwards that need to have real time responses. Also, there are mixed cases where Orchestrator interfaces with ‘external’ databases or other tools.
Quistor trainings
From the Quistor side, there are Orchestrator trainings on a regular basis with open subscriptions for both companies that are already customers and those that are not yet. These consist of 20 hours of training spread over 5 days, in a virtual classroom with interactive sessions and practical exercises based on background stories and varied information given by experts. In addition, there is another type of training just focused on a tailored sector, which can go into more company specifics than the open training can. Through it, companies can directly learn about the/their system, as they can register as many people from the company as wanted to attend.
