You can now review the advanced pricing adjustments for procurement in a standalone application. It will be possible to view line-level adjustments at any point in the procurement process, and it also provides the ability to evaluate item prices, enhancing purchasing decisions. Users can verify prices without creating a full purchase order. This reduces unnecessary data entry and prevents the creation of erroneous orders that would otherwise need to be cancelled or adjusted.
Two new processing options have been added to the Standalone Check Price Application P4074:
3. Check Price: If this processing option is set to value 1, the application will display the adjustments or discounts for purchase.
4. Version for P4310: You can specify the version for the purchase order entry.
The Standalone Check Price allows you to validate procurement prices independently and offers many benefits:
- Quick Price Check: Users can check procurement prices quickly and easily before creating a purchase order. Buyers can swiftly access and compare pricing structures before entering negotiations with vendors.
- Avoids Errors: By validating prices separately, you can catch pricing discrepancies early.
- Accurate Budget: It enables buyers and managers to check prices for better planning and forecasting before finalising orders.
- Price Comparison: Buyers can easily compare prices from multiple vendors or check the effect of various discount schedules before making a purchasing decision.
This new release allows real-time visibility of procurement prices. As price updates, such as vendor price changes or adjustments, are made, procurement teams can immediately check the new prices.
It allows the procurement team to check if vendor-specific agreements, such as discounts or special pricing, are correctly reflected before finalising the order. This is particularly useful when managing multiple vendors.
Use Case 1
Vendor-Specific Pricing: You might specify that Vendor X offers a 20% discount for items purchased in quantities of 100 units or more.
Use Case 2
Vendor-Specific Pricing: You might specify that Vendor X offers a 30% discount for items purchased in quantities of 200 units or more, effective date from October.
As we can see, the Standalone Check Price feature for procurement is a valuable tool that provides real-time price validation and improves accuracy in the purchasing process, reducing manual work and errors, and controlling costs more effectively.
